St Edmund's Parish Church is situated on Sinfin Avenue, Shelton Lock. The church was built in 1939 and has served the parish of Allenton and Shelton Lock for many years.

St Edmund's Church is part of the Church@derbysouth MMA and continues to work with it's sister churches throughout the southern part of Derbyshire. Our aim and goal as a church is to share the gospel of Christ to all in our community and we would offer a warm welcome to the people of Derbyshire and to those visiting our city. 

Our service times throughout the week are:

Sunday:      10:00am Morning Worship (This is usually a one hour Eucharist Service).

Wednesday 9:15am  Holy Communion. (This service lasts for 45minutes and is followed by refreshments in the West End Room).

We would like to offer a warm welcome to all at any of the above services.

Edmund Bear & Friends

Edmund Bear & Friends is a mother and toddler group held at St. Edmund's Church West End Room.

As part of our 70th Anniversary Celebrations this year, we at St Edmund's church would like to offer an invitation to all our friends and supporters to come and join with us as we give thanks to God for the faithful ministry and mission of the church in Shelton Lock.

Saturday 31st October 2009, we would like to invite you to join with us for an evening of musical entertainment featuring the Rolls Royce Male Voice Choir.
The evening will begin at 7:00pm and refreshments will be available during the interval.
If you would like to join with us then please contact the church wardens for further details.

Friday November 20th we are pleased to announce that we will be joined by the Rt Rev'd Alastair Redfern, Bishop of Derby as we celebrate our Patronal Festival Service. The meeting will begin at 7:30pm and there will be refreshments served after the meeting.

Sunday 13th December, we will be joined at our 10:00am service by the Rt Rev'd Humphrey Southern, Bishop of Repton. At this Eucharist Service we will be celebrating with friends all that God has done in the parish and continues to do. We would like to offer this warm invitation for all to join with us on this special day.

Thursday 24th December, On this special night we will be holding our midnight service to celebrate the message of Christmas. Our service will start at 11:00pm and will take us into the new Christmas day. We again would like to invite you to join with us as we remember the true message of Christmas and as we celebrate one with another.
