The church calls 'lay' all those who are not ordained as clergy. If there are many then they are known as the laity. Without the work of the laity, it would not be possible for the church to operate. Some lay people may be employed but most give of their time voluntarily. Some lay have specific roles and are licensed by the Bishop. One such role is that of Reader. Readers help with the leading of worship and the teaching and pastoral ministries of the clergy. |
One peron with a specific role is Terry SalihMMA Project Development Co-ordinatorTerry has been appointed to help us identify ways in which the MMA can work better towards the twin aims of ministry and mission in our geographic area. He brings with him a wealth of experience in church work and has succesfully developed training courses designed for church growth. | |
