| St Peter's Church, is the Church of England parish church of Chellaston. It has been a place of Christian worship serving the people of Chellaston for more than 750 years. The present church building dates mainly from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries, with the tower and lady chapel dating from the nineteenth century. The structure is listed as grade II*. St. Peter's Church is also a community of faith which welcomes Christians of all denominations to its worship and other activities. We welcome all those who wish to learn about the Christian way. St Peter's is also working in a Covenant (an ecumenical agreement) with the other two churches in Chellaston, (Chellaston Methodist Church and St. Ralph Sherwin Roman Catholic Church). The aim of St. Peter's Church is to make the love of God known to those who live in Chellaston and to those from further afield who attend its services. We exist to provide opportunities for regular worship and to offer the services of baptism (christening), marriage and funerals to those living in Chellaston. St Peter's Church is also part of the church@derbysouth MMA and is actively involved with working with our sister churches in our MMA in Southern Derbyshire with sharing the gospel and love of Jesus. A warm welcome is assured to all those who would like to attend any of our services. For further information concerning the times and days of our services please link onto our times of service page.
